PROPOSED RECOMMENDATION

To award a construction contract to Walter Thompson Ltd at a value of £2,636,080 for the replacement of a residential block at Bewerley Park Outdoor Education Centre.

BACKGROUND TO SUPPORT THE RECOMMENDATION

The scheme forms part of the CYPS Capital Programme.

A competitiveprocurement exercise was be undertaken between January and May 2024.  The scheme is programmed to commence on site in October 2024 and is due to complete June 2025.

LEGAL AND GOVERNANCE COMPLIANCE

The procurement exercise was undertaken in accordance with the Council’s Procurement and Contract Procedure Rules and the Public Contracts Regulations 2015

RECOMMENDATION

To note that a construction contract is to be awarded to Walter Thompson Ltd.
